If you haven’t heard of the Aquashow waterpark then where have you been?! AquaShow is considered to be Portugal’s most complete waterpark offering a variety of water and themed attractions and the experience to swim with Sea Lions! It also includes “Aquakids”, a pool area for younger children so that you can also relax and enjoy the day out.

 

Does swimming with dolphins sound like one of your biggest childhood dreams? Zoomarine is another big attraction where you have the chance to learn all about this mesmerising mammal’s agility, intelligence and the special bond they have with their trainer. Outdoor Karting is a perfect activity for the competitive family where you can test your racing skills and who knows, win a trophy! Located in Almancil, the Karting Family Park is the most unique in the Algarve, guaranteeing adrenaline through 390cc Karting. It also includes a junior track for the younger ones or for those going behind the wheel for the first time. 

 

Off-road buggies is the best way to get to know the Algarve´s countryside! You can also drive in the World Rally Championship track and overcome obstacles on an outdoor circuit. A truly unique experience to explore the Algarve’s wilderness.

Want to maximise your adrenaline but still feel safe and comfortable? The Jeep Safari might be the best option for you. This involves visiting unique beauty sports through rural roads, off-road tracks, crossing streams and coming across old villages while appreciating he magnificent landscapes on a 4 x 4. 2 Passos

 

A lovely beach restaurant in a nature reserve, with a beautiful ocean view. The menu depends on which fish and shellfish are best at the local market. 2 Passos is definitely one of our favourites, their sea food is as fresh as it can possible be and combined with their take of the famous Portuguese side dishes it is a place you simple cannot miss out.

Booking is essential.

Opening Hours: Lunch- 12pm to 2.30pm

Paixa

 

Located next to the Jardins do Golfe condominium at the entry of Vale do Lobo. Paixa is a lovely tapas with Portuguese specialities, like marinated broad beans, beetroot and peppers, fresh cheese with tomato, honey or olive oil, king prawns, individual chicken pies, sauté mushrooms and quails eggs with chopped chourizo sausage to name just a few. Choice of 40 dishes & 200 mix’n’ match wines.

 

Opening Hours : Lunch12-15h + Dinner 19h-23h. Bar open in-between for tapas

Parrilla Natural 

 

A South American restaurant beautifully set within the Golden Triangle. Parilla Natural offer grilled free range beef and local fish specialities. Ideal for dinner under the stars or next to the fireplace and they provide a fenced-in playground for the littles ones with the possibility to view the playground through your iPhone or iPad (can be linked to their cctv system).
 

Opening Hours : Dinner 19h-23h + Sunday Lunch only 12h30 - 15h

Marufos

 

Marufo's is typical Portuguese chicken shack, known as the best chicken in town offering great value. Cheap and cheerful and it is a must!
